2019/06/25ECOVE Builds Taiwan’s First and Largest Rooftop Photovoltaic Facilities at a Purification Plant
On June 25,Taiwan’s largest environmental resource management company,ECOVE, announced that in response to the Government’s promotion for renewable energy it has completed a photovoltaic project at Taipei City Changxing Water Purification Plant, the first photovoltaic construction built on the roof of water purification plant. The photovoltaic facilities are expected to generate 2.13 million kWh power, cutting down about 1,180 metric tons of carbon emission yearly. With the benefits of power generation, suppression of algae growth, dust prevention, and carbon reduction, the plant will be an exemplary photovoltaic park in Taipei City.
ECOVE Solar Energy Corporation, an affiliate of ECOVE, possesses extensive experience of investment, development, construction, and operation of solar power plants in Taiwan as well as USA markets. So far, the Company has completed projects which generates a total of 135.14 million kWh power and cuts down 73,218 metric tons of carbon emission, which could help relieve the voltage used during peak hours and make a contribution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
In response to the Taipei City Photovoltaic Plan, the Taipei Water Supply Division attracted investment in the project of Changxing Water Purification Plant. After a rigorous selection process, ECOVE obtained development rights and is responsible for the overall planning, investment, construction and operation of the photovoltaic facilities.
For the reason that Taipei City takes up less lands and the sunshine radiation of which is less than in the south, ECOVE adopted the rooftop way to build Changxing plant. ECOVE laid a total of 5,936 solar modules with a total area of 11,483 square meters on the roof of the clean pools. According to 1,250 square meters of one standard swimming pool of the Olympic Games, the proportion of the photovoltaic plant is equivalent to the size of more than 9 swimming pools, the largest in the industry.
After the facilities start running, the Changxing photovoltaic plant generates 2.13 million kWh power which could supply for 610 households and cuts down 1,180 metric tons of carbon emission annually, equivalent to the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by three Da'an Forest Parks in Taipei. Moreover, with the vast landscape combined with the Taipei 101 building and its multi-purpose uses such as energy development, water purification as well as environmental landscape, the photovoltaic plant is expected to become a new landmark in Taipei city.
In addition to Changxing photovoltaic project, ECOVE has long been engaged in cooperation with local governments and major public transportation institutions, such as Taoyuan Metro Corp., Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corp., Taiwan High Speed Rail Company, Hualien County Gov't, Civil Aviation Administration, and Taiwan Port Corp. to develop investment in photovoltaic power system. With the abundant experience, ECOVE will continue to support renewable energy projects with actions and establish a new model for power industry in green energy construction in Taiwan.
2019/06/25ECOVE Builds Luzhu Photovoltaic Plant, Generating Green Power, Supplying for 561 Households Yearly
On June 25, the Taiwan’s largest environmental resource management company, ECOVE, announced that it has completed a photovoltaic project at Taoyuan Metro Luzhu Depot generating 2.04 million kWh power which could supply for 561 households and cut down 1,079 metric tons of carbon emission annually, equivalent to the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by 4.1 Da'an Forest Parks in Taipei. With the benefits of power generation and carbon reduction, the plant will be an exemplary photovoltaic park in Taoyuan City.
ECOVE Solar Energy Corporation, an affiliate of ECOVE, possesses extensive experience of investment, development, construction, and operation of solar power plants in Taiwan as well as US market. So far, the Company has completed projects which generate a total of 135.14 million kWh power and cuts down 73,218 metric tons of carbon emission, which could help ease the power strain during peak hours and make a contribution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Taoyuan Metro Corp. believes that solar power is a non-polluting industry with high utilization efficiency. It selected Luzhu Depot and Chingpu Depot to install solar modules on the roof. After a rigorous selection process, ECOVE obtained development rights of Luzhu Photovoltaic Plant in 2018 and takes responsibility for the overall planning, investment, construction and operation of the photovoltaic facilities.
In addition, ECOVE SEC also won development rights of Qingpu Photovoltaic Plant which will be completed in June of 2020, generating approximately 3.78 million kWh green power which could supply for 1,040 households and cut down 2,000 metric tons of carbon emission annually, equivalent to the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by 7.6 Da'an Parks in Taipei.
In addition to Luzhu and Chingpu photovoltaic projects, ECOVE SEC has long been engaged in cooperation with local governments and major public transportation institutions, such as Taoyuan Metro Corp., Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corp., Taiwan High Speed Rail Company, Hualien County Gov't, Civil Aviation Administration, and Taiwan Port Corp. to develop investment in photovoltaic power system. With the abundant experience, ECOVE will continue to support renewable energy projects with actions and establish a new model for power industry in green energy construction in Taiwan.

2019/04/18ECOVE Launches LINE Stickers to Promote Environmental Protection Education
In response to Earth Day, an annual event celebrated on April 22, the ECOVE, in collaboration with the Water Resources Bureau of New North City Gov't, launches “Water Elf” LINE stickers to promote environmental protection education and engage in public welfare activities.
The water elf stickers are designed according to the appearance of a “colurella”, one of the representative microorganisms at the Linkou Water Resource Center, the first of class 2 wastewater treatment plant built by the New Taipei City Government and operated by ECOVE. Its appearance shows that ECOVE’s treatment has reached optimum efficiency and maintained the stability of the biological system.
Since its inception at the beginning, ECOVE has always maintained on “resource cycling efficiency”,” active participation in national agenda”, and ”community collaboration” to promote environmental protection education. In response to Earth Day, ECOVE shapes a chubby and lovely colurella into a green ambassador and calls on the people to care for the earth together. Currently, the stickers are available online, and you are welcome to click the link (https://line.me/S/sticker/7190974) to download them. Come on and join us.

ECOVE is known as the most reliable provider of Energy-from-Waste (EfW) services over the past 20 years. On Jan. 22th, it exclusively arranged “2019 Taiwan In My Eyes 120h” group to visit the Miaoli Country Green Dream Plant and acquire knowledge of the treatments and technologies of domestic waste. ECOVE expected that participants could exert what they learned from ECOVE and promote the development of the EfW industry in their home countries.
The Miaoli Country Green Dream Plant, rated as a 5-star national environmental education facility, is actually the Miaoli EfW Plant operated by ECOVE which actively improves resource recycling efficiency and develops ecological education programs by combining with neighboring habitat. In addition, the plant contains environmental theme pavilions with multimedia and creates fictitious figures to offer EfW experiential courses and deliver the concept of the resource cycling.
In order to welcome the guests, ECOVE arranged the participants from 11 universities nationwide and 22 different countries for a tour at Miaoli EfW Plant to introduce Taiwan’s technologies of EFW and pollution prevention, and ECOVE’s environmental education in the neighborhood. In addition, the participants were invited to visit the crane room and central control room to learn more about the actual operation of the plant.
“2019 Taiwan In My Eyes 120h”, a nationwide event in conjunction with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), jointly organized by CTCI Education Foundation and the Center for Corporate Sustainability, ran for 5 days with a total of 120 hours scheduled to discover Taiwan.
